Club history

Battlebridge Football Club was formed in November 2011, co founders Richard Arlett, formally Mole Valley Council Sports Development Officer and Janet Creighton, formally Director of Football at Redhill Town Football Club. The club was originally known as ‘Mole Valley Disability Football Project’ and was run in partnership with Redhill Town Football Club gaining its funding from Reigate and Banstead Council, Mole Valley Council, Sport England, Sported, Reigate & Banstead Sports Council and other local sponsors to provide football for some of the most disadvantaged children attending special schools in Surrey. The key benefits were to improve their football skills, gaining better motor skills such as co-ordination, helping them to achieve a better levels of fitness and developing them as football players whilst representing their local club to build their confidence and self esteem. In May 2014 we were awarded the FA Charter Standard Club mark.
